Area of Focus
I work with children and teens with ADHD to help them build the practical skills they need to feel more confident, capable, and successful in their everyday lives.
Comprehensive Care
I work with children and teens with ADHD to help them build the practical skills they need to feel more confident, capable, and successful in their everyday lives. Many young people with ADHD struggle not because they lack intelligence or motivation, but because challenges with attention, organization, time management, emotional regulation, and executive functioning can make daily tasks feel overwhelming. My goal is to provide supportive, individualized guidance that helps each child better understand how their brain works while developing strategies that fit their unique strengths and needs.
Together, we focus on building skills in areas such as maintaining attention, managing distractions, organizing schoolwork and materials, planning ahead, following routines, and improving time awareness. I also help children and teens strengthen emotional regulation skills so they can better manage frustration, stress, impulsivity, and transitions. These tools can improve not only academic performance, but also relationships, self-esteem, independence, and overall well-being.
I take a collaborative and practical approach that emphasizes real-life application. Rather than using one-size-fits-all solutions, I work closely with each child and their family to identify strategies that are realistic, sustainable, and effective in daily life. Sessions may include creating personalized systems for homework and organization, developing study and planning habits, practicing coping skills, building routines, and learning ways to break larger tasks into manageable steps.
I believe that progress happens when children feel understood, encouraged, and supported without judgment. Many children and teens with ADHD have experienced repeated frustration or criticism, which can affect confidence and motivation. I strive to create a positive environment where they feel safe to ask questions, learn from mistakes, and recognize their own strengths.
My work is designed to support success across settings, including school, home, extracurricular activities, and social situations. By helping children and teens develop stronger executive functioning and self-management skills, I aim to empower them to navigate challenges more effectively and build greater independence over time. Every child has unique abilities and potential, and with the right tools, support, and strategies, they can develop the confidence and skills needed to thrive both now and in the future.
