Area of Focus
I provide educational consultation for parents who are concerned about their child’s learning, behavior, or emotional well-being.
Comprehensive Care
I provide educational consultation for parents who are concerned about their child’s learning, behavior, or emotional well-being. I support families in understanding and navigating the wide range of evaluations a child may need, including academic testing, behavioral assessments, and psychological evaluations. So they can make informed decisions that best support their child’s development and success in school.
I also guide parents through the child study team process within schools, helping them understand procedures, timelines, and what to expect at each step. I provide clear explanations of how school-based supports are determined and what services may be available, including special education eligibility and accommodations. So families feel more confident and less overwhelmed when working with school teams.
I offer support throughout the IEP process, including reviewing documents, explaining goals and services, and helping parents prepare for meetings. I help families understand their rights under special education law and ensure that their child’s needs are being appropriately addressed. I can also attend school meetings alongside parents to provide real-time support, clarification, and advocacy when needed.
Beyond the school system, I work closely with families to develop individualized strategies that support learning, behavior, emotional regulation, and daily functioning at home and in school. These may include behavioral plans, coping strategies, organizational tools, and communication techniques tailored specifically to the child’s strengths and challenges.
My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, focusing on empowering both the child and the family rather than simply identifying problems. I believe parents are the most important advocates for their children, and I strive to equip them with the knowledge, confidence, and tools to take an active role in their child’s education.
My goal is to help children feel supported, understood, and capable in their learning environments. At the same time, I aim to reduce stress and confusion for families by bringing clarity to complex educational and psychological systems. I work to ensure that families feel heard, respected, and actively involved in every step of the process.
I also provide guidance on navigating challenges that may arise during the school year, including changes in behavior, academic struggles, social difficulties, or transitions between grade levels or schools. When necessary, I help families consider whether additional outside evaluations or supports may be beneficial, and how to coordinate those services effectively with school-based programs. My overall mission is to bridge the gap between families and schools, ensuring that children receive appropriate support while parents feel informed, empowered, and confident advocating for their child’s long-term success as well.
